No Bad Apples
Spring is always a busy time for me in Gippsland, managing the abundant growth, nurturing seedlings and getting the vegetable garden weeded and planted. The gardening teaches me patience, as well as helping me learn how to relax into the beauty and necessity of life's cycles.
Simple Joys & Challenge as Fertiliser
Life's simple pleasures feel plentiful; sunshine, colours in full bloom and the joy of picking flowers to place on the table. As I sit and write this, a grey shrike thrush that has been hanging around my porch has just caught a lizard for breakfast. I am reminded that death and destruction are also a part of life's cycles, not just the joy of flowering and renewal.
What was good for that bird with the magical singing voice did not look so good for the lizard basking peacefully in the sunshine. We, the humans are the only ones to comment or make judgement on nature's business. Make of that what you will :)

Your Radiant Core
The question does seem however, how do we embrace all that we encounter on our path equally? - the stuff we want and like, as well as the stuff we'd rather push away and not look at.
It can be helpful to view our personal challenges as the fertiliser that helps us grow towards being our full, embodied, beautifully complex selves. It can also be helpful to remember that each and every one of us, has an immutable radiance at our core.
In this absolute sense,
There are no bad apples.
