On Being Enough
It's been so wonderful to see more people engage with their creative side as a way to release stress and access peace within. The interesting thing is that expressing ourselves creatively can often put us in touch with the voice of our inner critic.
The inner critic can hold you back from trying new things or keep you stuck in self-doubt, but it doesn't have to be like that. In a kinesiology session, we can gently uncover the different parts that fuel those self-critical beliefs and help those parts of us transform.
"When we direct a lot of hostile energy toward the inner critic, we enter into a losing battle." ― Sharon Salzberg
When I'm engaging in creative work, I'm often in conversation with my inner critic. The difference these days, is that my conversations are much more compassionate, with a genuine sense of curiosity to understand the critical voice. When these critical parts feel heard and release the fears they were carrying, we can experience a freedom to trust and express ourselves in our own unique way.
Imagine replacing self-judgment and criticism with self-compassion—and finally feeling like you are enough!

Transform your Inner Critic!
Feeling like you’re never enough is one of the biggest drivers of burnout because it creates a relentless cycle of overgiving, overworking, self-criticism and perfectionism. Ignoring your own needs leads not only to emotional depletion but a loss of purpose and joy.
If you consistently feel not enough within yourself, I encourage you to book a session and take that first step towards befriending your inner critic. It can be profound when all parts of you relax and work together as supporters and voices of encouragement.

"I am Wonderful"
I received a lovely e-mail from a client who gave me permission to include it here. I celebrate the transformation of her inner critic to reach this delightful shift in self-perception.
"I'm feeling so much better, thank you!I picked up the pencils straight after our session. I just did another sketch and decided to look through my sketch book and read the notations and do you know what I thought.. ‘ I am wonderful’ Thank you 🙏 "
Listen to My Being is Enough
To complete my offering today, here's link to a song I recorded many years ago. You can sing along and treat it like a singing affirmation - or play it in the background as a sacred reminder. It can also be downloaded free and lyrics are there if you want to sing along.
I'm laughing to myself because I judge my singing voice on this track as "not good enough" - which is more reason to share it here today! I think at the time I had also been making a point in my recording process to not have to be perfect. That aside, the message of this song reaches deeply into the heart of what I believe is true; that the essence of our being is the love, peace and happiness we seek. There is nothing on the outside that can give us these things.
Our Being is Enough :)
I look forward to seeing you soon if you'd like a balance or tune-up or experience the freedom of relaxing deeply into being enough.
